S3 Ep1 - Part 2

Here's the next section of my short episode:

Not getting any response Truman breaks open the door.  Cooper, in his pajamas, lies on the floor.  The mirror above the sink is shattered with blood all over it and the sink.  Cooper smiles up at them strangely.

Cooper (smiling strangely):  I slipped and hit my head on the mirror.  The glass broke as it struck my head. (Laughs) It struck me as funny, Harry.  Do you understand me, Harry?  It struck me as funny.

Dr. Hayward:            You are going right back to bed.

Doc Hayward and Truman help Cooper up.

Cooper:          But I haven’t brushed my teeth yet.

Cooper smiles at the uneasy pair.

Dr. Hayward:            On second thought, we better get you to the hospital.  I don't want to take any chances.

Cooper:          Doc, I'm fine.  It's just a little blood.

Sheriff:           I think Doc's right.  Besides you can see Annie.

Cooper (smiles strangely):    Maybe you're right. 

Inside Annie’s room at the hospital.  Annie is speaking incoherently coming out of unconsciousness.  The nurses continue monitoring Annie’s progress.

Annie:            The good Dale is still in the Black Lodge.  Watch out for the bad Dale.

Nurse:            Just relax.  You've been through a rough night.

Annie:            We must save Dale.

Nurse:            Okay.  Don't worry I'm sure someone will help him.

Annie:            No, you don't understand.  We're all in danger.

Annie's voice fades out as the injection by the nurse starts to take effect.  Cut to Sheriff Truman's trooper.  Sheriff is driving Agent Cooper to the hospital.

Lucy (on radio):        Sheriff Truman?  This is Lucy.  Can you hear me sheriff?

Sheriff:           I read you loud and clear.  What is it Lucy.  I'm driving Agent Cooper to the hospital.

Lucy:              Oh, hi, Agent Cooper.  Andy wanted me to tell you how glad he is to have you back from that place.  Oh, did I tell you?  Andy and I are going to get married.  We're thinking about next month so that when the baby comes he'll have a father.

Sheriff:           Lucy (cutting her off in the middle of a sentence) why did you radio me?

Lucy:              Oh, there was an explosion at the Twin Peaks National Bank.  Apparently, Audrey Horne, Pete Martell, and Andrew Packard were inside.

Sheriff:           Andrew Packard?  He died five years ago.

Lucy:              That's what I thought, but Catherine Martell called and said that he was in the bank along with her husband Pete.  Apparently, he wasn't dead after all.  It's kind of like that episode on "Invitation to Love" when everyone thought that Emerald was dead, but was in fact alive and only her sister Jade knew it.

Sheriff:           Never mind Lucy.  Get on the horn to Doc Hayward and tell him to meet me at the bank after I drop off Agent Cooper at the hospital.  Also, have Hawk and Andy get over there right away.

Lucy:              Deputy Hawk and Deputy Brennan are already over there.  They went as soon as we found out about the explosion.

Sheriff:           Good.  Tell them I'll be there in a few minutes.

Cooper:          Harry, I want to go with you to the bank.

Sheriff:           Doc said to take you straight to the hospital.

Cooper:          I know, but I'm more concerned about the explosion.

Sheriff:           Okay, but I'm taking you to the hospital immediately afterwards.

Cooper:          That's fine with me.  Let's get a move on it Harry.
