S3E1 - Part 4

Inside the Double R diner.  Norma Jennings is untying her apron and getting ready to leave.  Shelley Johnson walks in with Bobby Briggs.

Norma:           Shelley, I'm glad you could come in on your day off.  I'll make it up to you.

Shelley:          It's okay, Norma.  Just make sure Annie is okay.  Tell her to get better soon because we can't cover for her for very much longer.

Norma:           I'll give her the message.  (A long pause) Thank you.

Shelley:          Relax.  She's going to be fine.  (To Bobby) So, what do you want for breakfast?

Bobby:            I already had my breakfast this morning.

Shelley:          I meant, what do you want to eat.

Bobby:            Like I said, I already had breakfast.

 

Outside the Twin Peaks National Bank.  Hawk and Andy are questioning Audrey Horne as Sheriff Truman and Agent Cooper pull up.  An ambulance pulls away with its sirens blaring in a hurry.

Sheriff:           Hawk, what's the scoop?

Hawk:            Pete Martell and Andrew Packard are unconscious and are being rushed to the hospital.  Audrey Horne has a concussion and lots of lacerations from the broken glass.  The bank manager is dead from an apparent heart attack.

Sheriff:           So it's true.  Andrew is alive.  (To Doc Hayward) How's Audrey.

Doc:                She's going to be fine.  She's just going to have a major headache.  To be on the safe side, I think we should take her to the hospital and run a few tests.

Cooper:          Any idea what caused the explosion?

Andy:             A bomb went off inside the vault.  It was in one of the safety deposit boxes.

Sheriff:           We know it was a bomb, Andy.  Any idea on who might have put it there.

Andy:             That's what I was going to say.  I found this piece of paper over in the trees where we found the bank manager's glasses.  It said, "Got you".

Cooper:          So who would want to kill Pete or Andrew?

Sheriff:           Josie said that Thomas Eckhart killed Andrew, apparently.  Maybe he planted the bomb.

Audrey (barely audible):      It was he.

Sheriff:           What did you say?  It was who?

Audrey:          I heard Pete and Andrew say they wondered what Thomas had left them.

Sheriff (To Cooper):              We better get you to the hospital.  While we're there we can find out how Pete and Andrew are.  (To Hawk and Andy) When you're finished here, go over to Kathryn's and see if she knows anything else.  We'll take Audrey with us.
